A seamless SaaS experience for fashion professionals

Overview

Start by WGSN is a SaaS platform designed for fashion stylists, providing essential image-based insights that inform, inspire, and support decision-making and collaboration.

The aim of this project was to enhance user experience and usability through UI design improvements and usability testing, ensuring a seamless workflow for fashion professionals.

Problem

Fashion professionals relied on fragmented tools for trend research and collaboration, making it difficult to find relevant insights and streamline decision-making. The platform needed a more intuitive UI and improved usability to enhance user engagement and workflow efficiency. My goal was to create a seamless, image-driven experience that simplified information access and encouraged collaboration.

Delivery

Understanding the challenges faced by fashion professionals was the first step. I conducted a quick research to identify pain points in their workflow, analyzing how they searched for trends and organized references. Through an interview, I uncovered key friction points—users struggled with navigation, information overload, and a lack of clear visual hierarchy.

With these insights, I mapped out opportunities to enhance the platform's usability. Wireframes and prototypes were created to test a different UI approach, focusing on making trend discovery more intuitive. Iterative feedback loops allowed me to refine interactions, ensuring that every design choice aligned with the needs of the end users.

Solution

I redesigned the platform with a clean, structured UI, improving navigation and reducing cognitive load. Features like organized moodboards, collaboration tools and intuitive trend discovery streamlined the user experience, making decision-making more efficient.
